Pro 42 zaznělo tohle: „Je to jako „40“ od U2 a „1979“ od Smashing Pumpkins, vysvětlil Martin. „Nemyslím si, že se má člověk pokoušet o to, být nejlepší skupina na světě, aniž by měl jako název songu číslo.“

Na začátku příprav nového alba se 42 původně jmenovala „Thought You Might Be a Ghost“.
